3D Quilling: Graceful Geisha

Everything about the Japanese culture fascinates me. The language, the food, the fashion and especially the mysterious world of the Geisha.

The rounded dress and the huge sleeves that can be made with 3D quilling lent itself superbly to making my own little geisha lady.  Although her hair style isn't traditional, I went for a more 'Mama San' look, and made her coy and mysterious hiding behind her fan.
Graceful Geisha is 8cm (3.1in) tall. She is made from 6mm strips, while the beaded decorations are made from 2mm strip.
